See why Bell Cranel’s forced-critical Auto Attack is recomputed through the physical-critical branch instead of multiplying his final non-critical result by Critical Damage.
Rebuild Physical ATK with Base ATK and 5 × STR → weapon size, target size, element, race, and MVP → normal event: Physical DEF branch OR critical event: physical-critical rewrite without Physical DEF → Physical Penetration and reduction → refine attack and reduction → Physical Damage vs Short-Range Damage Reduction → target VIT → critical scale when critical → Auto Attack Damage and reduction → Final Damage → encounter divisor → caps
Follow this order with your own build, but use the grouping and special branches shown by your skill family. The numerical example below demonstrates the mechanic rather than claiming one universal formula for every skill.

Choose Bell Cranel or another imported physical hero. The shared 100% Auto Attack coefficient and one-event delivery load automatically.
Auto Attack uses one 100% event. Your build, target, and selected critical route determine the damage below.
Choose the instance first, then its difficulty, then the MVP. Each step limits the next list and the final choice loads the imported target stats.
Bell’s Auto Attack is rebuilt on the physical-critical route. It is not “final non-critical Auto Attack damage × Critical Damage,” and ordinary Physical DEF or Ignore Physical DEF does not decide that rewritten critical event.
These probabilities apply only when every selected damage event rolls independently.
This calculator follows the ordering described on this page. Skill-specific rewrites and unsupported build lanes still require their own verified family support.
Bell Cranel uses the shared 100% Auto Attack event, but his Battle Lab primary attack is forced to critical. That changes the calculation route before Critical Damage is applied.

The interactive calculator uses player-editable values to demonstrate the ordinary family and the standard physical-critical rewrite with optional conditional branches left inactive. Battle Lab remains the place to inspect an exact supported build ledger.
Auto Attack begins by separating Base Physical ATK from the rest of the attack value. Base Physical ATK is two times Strength plus the floored Strength-square, Dexterity, and Luck terms. The handler also adds a distinct five-times-Strength Auto Attack contribution before ATK percentage, weapon-versus-size correction, target-size, element, race, and MVP modifiers are resolved in their client order.
This is why a useful Auto Attack formula needs Strength, Dexterity, Luck, the Physical ATK lane, weapon and target context, and the matching modifiers. A 100% skill coefficient alone does not describe the hit.
- Base Physical ATK = 2 × STR + floor(STR²/100) + floor(DEX/5) + floor(LUK/5).
- Auto Attack contribution = Normal Attack flat + 5 × STR.
- Only the modifiers whose weapon, size, element, race, and MVP qualifiers match this event are active.
A non-critical Auto Attack continues through effective Physical DEF. The client resolves effective DEF after DEF Percentage Defense and Ignore Physical DEF, calculates both its fixed and attack-scaled defense branches, and uses the larger multiplier.
An eligible physical Auto Attack critical can instead enter the physical-critical rewrite. That route rebuilds the damage core without the ordinary Physical DEF calculation, then applies the critical scale and later shared stages. Changing Ignore Physical DEF can improve the non-critical event while leaving this critical rewrite unchanged.
Bell Cranel and The Nameless are the clearest Battle Lab references because their primary Auto Attacks are forced critical. They enter the critical route without first using an ordinary CRI roll. A Rune Master Auto Attack that rolls a critical reaches the same standard physical-critical routing, but its chance to enter that route still depends on eligibility, CRI, target Critical Resistance, and active force or forbid effects.
Critical Damage starts from 150%, adds the attacker’s Critical Damage, subtracts the target’s Critical Damage Reduction, includes only applicable conditional terms, and is clamped before it scales the branch-owned damage value. Critical chance decides whether a rolled event enters this route; it is not multiplied into the damage of one critical event.
- Bell Cranel: forced critical in the published Battle Lab primary-attack setup.
- The Nameless: forced critical in the published Battle Lab primary-attack setup.
- Rune Master: ordinarily needs an eligible critical roll unless another effect forces the event.
After the handler branch, Auto Attack Damage is opposed by target Auto Attack Reduction. Skill Damage is not applied to the same event. Single-target rules, Final Damage and resistance, encounter difficulty, damage-reduction divisors, and display or HP-loss caps then finish the calculation in their own stages.
Conditional learned-skill, rune, equipment, status, double-hit, conversion, and special-target branches can add or replace terms. Keep those effects attached to the selected actor and state; do not paste them into every Auto Attack build. Use the Battle Lab event ledger when a supported build needs those exact branches.

- Installed-client Auto Attack handler
- The current Auto Attack family establishes the Base Physical ATK rebuild, five-times-Strength contribution, target-qualified modifiers, ordinary Physical DEF route, later Auto Attack modifier, encounter reduction, and caps.
- Installed-client physical-critical handler
- The physical-critical rewrite establishes that an eligible critical recomputes the damage core without the ordinary Physical DEF calculation before later Auto Attack stages.
- Published Battle Lab actor rules
- Bell Cranel and The Nameless provide player-relevant forced-critical Auto Attack references; their complete build results remain clearly labeled by Battle Lab’s current calculation coverage.
