Keep the target and attack family fixed when testing your build. Physical Penetration is a later multiplier in this example and must not be added to Ignore Physical DEF.
Use the target’s real defense profile
Select the actual monster and encounter difficulty before evaluating defense investment. The target’s Physical DEF, percentage changes, reductions, and encounter form determine the lane that the family handler must resolve.
A low-defense training target cannot prove the value of Ignore Physical DEF against a high-defense MVP. Keep target race, size, element, class, and difficulty fixed while comparing the defense result.
Do not merge defense stats
Ignore Physical DEF and Physical Penetration are not interchangeable labels. Target DEF reduction is also a different source. Preserve the exact stat name and the handler’s ordering so a breakpoint is not created by adding unrelated percentages together.
