The demon used magic to bring Marc's grandfather back to health. After his grandfather had recovered, Marc did not use real Gold Sand to thank the demon, but instead used ordinary yellow sand. He placed it on the altar which set alight, and he chanted: "Demon, demon, I have fulfilled my promise." The demon came to Marc in his dream and told him to go to the seaside to find real Gold Sand. Marc awoke and excitedly ran straight to the seaside. But when he got there, he encountered fierce pirates who captured and sold him into slavery. His price... A kilogram of Gold Sand.
